Final Destination: Germany

The reason Normandy should be chose above the other places is, that all the places are going to be distracted due to the dummy armies. Another reason is because if we pass through France we will return the freedom of a powerfull ally. Even if we attack from Norway there will be a strong probability that the Germans will move to France, because it is near to England and it is difficult for the U.S. to attack there with airplanes. We know passing France is not easy but to secure victory we need to recover France.

Army

One day before the Normandy invasion many weapons and people will began to leave English ports, within hours an armada of 3,000 landing craft, 2,500 other ships and and bombardment ships. Also that night 822 aircraft, carrying parachutists are going to Normandy's landing zones.  But still I it is a fraction of the air armada of 13,000 aircraft that will support D-Day.

The main task is to provide shore bombardment firepower for the troops , to guard the transports, weapons and people, and to see that nobody get close.

The  navies also will provide 4,126 amphibious craft, there are tanks and more weapons that can help a lot   in Normandy.

We saw that one comander gave the orders to the navy, army and air personal so they can trained, know the operation and to plan it. If all work as one, they would know exactly what to do. When the Normandy invasion was being planned, military leaders wanted to train the men using live ammunition, because is any situation they have to use a weapon and many dont knew how to used.

The beaches for the landing are the following Utah, Omaha, Gold, Juno and Sword, we have chosen those beaches in Normandy, because with low tides, the sea can withdraw up to 500 meters and the territory all around the shore is an easy target for the artillery.
After the deception campaign that had taken place, and all the studies made to determine which is the best geographic place to land we have concluded, the allied troops are now waiting for the right conditions to land. The perfect conditions for landing were close to ideal, late-rising full moon, a receding tide, good visibility, sparse cloud cover and low winds, although the visibility isn´t good, we can´t wait more.

The divisions of each country are explained in the image to the right.

We know that arriving to France will not be easy.  Most of the tanks that are going to be transported to Normandy will never make it to shore. The Germans will shoot mortar shells at the boats and the canvas “bloomers” that were carrying the tanks onto the beach, and there is an estimation that 11 000 of our soldiers will die on the arriving. But still it is the moment; the Germans in the beaches do not have supplies.

Preparing the Attack

The use of deception is the most intelligent thing that the Allies can do. Because the risk of a disaster is very low. The attack consists in two fake landing places. Called Fortitude North and Fortitude South.

The Fortitude North is in charge of creating a fake landing on the coast of Norway. It consists of using disinformation sent by radio.

The Fortitude South also is in charge of creating a false attack in Pas de Calais, which is the nearest point between England and France. Also using the same tactics.

The use of double-agents is necessary and extremely important; they will give wrong information about the landing and the attack zones to Germany. Also with the help of the MI5 we have deciphered the code of the German transmition. A group of engineers in England has acceed to help us to create a dummy army.

The objective of this strategy is to move all the German supplies far from the real attack point, which is Normandy. Without their supplies they won't do a counter attack.
